Service Description

The appointment varies according to your needs but generally "the morning has gold in its mouth" and at 06:00 we meet at the starting point, in Castiglione in Teverina (VT) to enjoy the day to the fullest. You will be able to stay directly here the day before and also on the night of the experience. Welcoming you will be the bubbly Mary, host, with her sweetness and kindness to brighten your experience, and Sandro and Andrea, expert truffle hunters, in the company of Otto and Teo, friendly Lagotti from Romagna and Dora and Lea, fast Bracche with an impeccable nose, who will accompany us on this adventure! Once all the participants have gathered, the experience will begin with an introduction to the world of truffles: what truffles are, what importance they have in the naturalistic context, how dog training takes place and other interesting notions. The truffle hunter will be at our disposal to answer all your curiosities about the world of truffles! This first moment will last approximately 30 minutes. And here the truffle hunt will begin: we will venture into the woods characterized by holm oaks, oaks, strawberry trees and mastic trees. We will follow the truffle hunters and their dogs, admiring his nose at work. Once we smell the "treasure", we will be able to contribute to the extraction of the truffle! Depending on the time of year, these may be prized white truffles, prized black truffles, black summer truffles or white truffles. Once we have collected our loot, we will return to the meeting point. This second moment will last approximately 1 hour. Once back in Castiglione, we will have about 40 minutes of free time available to relax in this splendid natural setting. At the call of "it's ready!" we will go to the room used for lunch/dinner: the latter includes an encore of appetizers, a first course and a second course seasoned with truffles.
